Jackie Arnold Named KLPW Athlete of the Week

Washington High School girls basketball player Jackie Arnold is the KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week.

Arnold, a 5-6 senior guard, leads the Lady Jays in scoring through the team’s first nine games. She’s averaging 16.4 points per game to go with 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals.

Arnold is shooting 44 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free-throw-line. She has played a major role in Washington’s success during her junior and senior seasons.

Arnold scored 23 points and added five assists in a 46-27 win at New Haven, collected 13 points in a 53-46 win at Holt, scored 14 points in a 51-43 win at New Haven, and had 19 points in a 63-57 win over Webster Groves in the opening round of the Visitation Tournament.
